Mayan Contributions

The Mayan contributions consisted of architecture, religion, mathematics, astronomy, paper, hieroglyphs, calendar, economy, and agriculture. The Calendar is thought of as the most impressive contribution because it is so simailar to ours. The many calendars of the Mayas are the Long Count, Short Count, Vague Year, Sacred Alamanac, the Divinatory, Solar and Lunar Calendars. Even though the concepts were mostly borrowed they transformed the ideas completely.

All the beliefs were honored almost everyday and had great meaning.
