Maya Beliefs
The Mayan beliefs like many other at the time included sacrifice. They practiced five or six sacrifices. They were sacrificing to their 7 main gods. Itzama, Hunab Kab, Chac, Ah Puch, Ix Chel, Yam Kax, and Kukulcán. The Mayas also believed in a sacred cieba tree or the trees of abundance, which consisted of four trees with a fifth tree in the middle. All the beliefs were honored almost everyday and had great meaning.
